England's hopes of European glory will rest on the shoulders of 33 players selected by manager Gareth Southgate for the upcoming UEFA EURO 2024 tournament in Germany.

The squad, which was announced on Saturday, June 8th, features a blend of experienced internationals and promising youngsters, with several notable inclusions and omissions.

Goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who has been in impressive form for Crystal Palace, has been called up alongside Everton's Jordan Pickford and Arsenal's Aaron Ramsdale.

In defense, Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold and Manchester City's Kyle Walker will provide width, while John Stones and Manchester United's Harry Maguire will anchor the back line.

The midfield is packed with talent, including Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham, Chelsea's Mason Mount, and Manchester City's Phil Foden.

The attacking trio of Bukayo Saka, Raheem Sterling, and captain Harry Kane will be tasked with providing the goals.

notable omissions from the squad include Leicester City's James Maddison, who has been in excellent form this season, and Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof.

Southgate's men will begin their Euro 2024 campaign on June 14th against Croatia in Glasgow. They will also face the Czech Republic and Scotland in Group D.

England will be hoping to improve on their performance at the 2022 World Cup, where they reached the quarter-finals but were eliminated by France.

Southgate will be under pressure to deliver success at Euro 2024, having led England to the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup and the final of Euro 2020.
